She had never expected it to end this way, when she had invited him along the trail behind the old barn…
Now that his body lay there, with smears of red around his head… she thought “what’s done is done!” dropped the gun and ran away…
“Let it snow…” The blizzard would cover her for a while, at least long enough to be long gone when they’d find him.
This is my fourth attempt at Monday’s One-minute Fiction prompt, hosted by Lovely Curses. This week, the inspiration was the sentence “Let it snow”. Feel free to join in by clicking on the link above!
I love this challenge, great job!

Thank you very much! I love the challenge too. Since you’re allowed only one minute to write the post, it requires very little time in a busy schedule, to participate 🙂 A lot of fun everytime!

Thank you Miriam 🙂 I was a bit hesitant to stain the Christmas spirit with a little bit of blood… but that’s where the challenge took me 😉

Oh gosh! These “Let it snow” tales are quite sinister! But oh so good!
One has to wonder how an innocent walk behind the barn turned to murder . . . or was it ever truly “innocent”? 😉 Great story! 🙂

Thank you so much, Nortina 🙂
Yes, my thoughts drifted to the sinister side a bit, because I imagined people would probably go straight to the very warm and Christmassy spirit… 😉 I guess we’ll only learn about the hows and whys of this if she gets caught in the end… hehehe
Welcome to The Cove! I hope to see you around again soon! 🙂 xx

the “warm and Christmassy spirit” seems to be in short supply this year. I’m not sure why. But these unlikely or even “anti” Christmas stories are still very good. 🙂
