occupying space
reminding me of what
I was not, when
I younger was,
Hidden was she
around the corner, the edge
the photograph hidden
denying herself participation
denying the fact to be
preserved in my memories,
Lovers were we
not an obvious choice
a fact, a reality
hidden to others
denying myself the pleasure
admitting, owning up to
a future shared never
to be
Pointing my camera
the moment, the instant
crystals exploding, saving her
the moment to treasure, forever
If only
The memory of her, fades
no photos to remember her by
just the ones never taken
my arms around her
