Brainstorm time!

My dear Lovelies,

As previously mentionned in my last Just thinking post, I am on a new mission. I know that it’ll take a lot of time, and a lot of hard work, but if I can inspire at least a tiny tiny movement, it’ll be totally worth it.

I have observed, lately more than ever before, a feeling of helplessness among the people around me. Like me, they are sick and tired of all the negativity and the divisions in our society. Day in and day out, people get out on the street to protest against something, and no matter how good a cause they are supporting, the signs we see in the crowd are always against something.

Wouldn’t it be great to create something 100% positive for a change?

Something that wouldn’t cost anybody anything, that could be attended by anyone who wishes so. Something that ultimately could show that no matter where we live, what we believe in or not, no matter our gender, our race, our sexual preferences or our political views… We can all stand together, if only for a short moment.

Am I dreaming big? Of course I am…

Why would a child dream about having a dog, when they want a horse??

I’m just hoping that there are enough people still positive enough to believe in my dream and make it their own too. I have just a little less than two months work on that.

And I need you, dear Lovelies!

Because, all by myself, there is no way this will happen.

So I’d like to invite you to a brainstorm week. During the week, I am not very present online, because of work, but I’d like to leave you time to share your thoughts about this little (read HUGE) project. And then, we can go from there.

For those of you who wouldn’t know what I am talking about, here’s the idea I had recently. I thought it would be awesome to create an event that would unite people all around the world.

Time zones were playing with my nerves, because no matter what time of the day I would pick, there would be some countries that would have to wake up in the middle of the night to be part of the manifestation. Ugh!!

That’s how I came up with the idea of a world wide wave… You know? Like the waves people create in stadiums when their favorite sport team is playing? When one enthusiastic fan stands up and starts it, people don’t care about what political party the guy supports, or who he sleeps with. And I thought, we could create such a wave, of world scale!

On July 30th (it is the International Friendship Day, which seems fit for the occasion, and it is a Saturday. Convenient for most people), all of the participants of our big wave would do something as simple as getting out in front of their home, at a given time. (Same time for everybody, hence the wave, jumping from time zone to time zone)

So this brainstorm thing…

To get this wave thing started, we need a couple of things…

.

  1. A cool, punchy name. I thought about World Wide Wave, but I am not convinced… What would you call it?
  2. A logo. I had the idea of putting together the word ”United” in many languages, as in the following image. But I am open to any other design. Also, if you know someone who has any knowledge in designing logos, that would be kind enough to give a little hand, please let me know 🙂

      3. Any ideas you might have about this wave project is welcome!

I just want all of this to be very simple… It doesn’t need to be complicated to be successful. If the Internets can help people spread false information and negativity, I am sure that we can make this positive manifestation go viral.

Can you imagine it? A kindness pandemic, infecting the whole world…

And we could think to ourselves, ”we started this”.

On these sweet thoughts, I wish you a most lovely week. I’ll be waiting for your suggestions.

By next weekend, I’ll come up with a short and concise post that you can share on your personal social medias. In the meanwhile, feel free to talk about it, not only online, but with your friends and families too.

And you know what they say, sharing is caring…
