She remembered her first night in a hostel.
It was a six beds dormitory, and her only roommate was an Icelandic young women traveling for work. They had small talked, while she put her belongings to safety in her locker, before heading downstairs for dinner.
Upon return, Anna was sitting nervously on the side of her bed.
Can I tell you something? I really need to share it, and I can’t let my boyfriend or family know before I go home… Her eyes sparkled. I’m pregnant!
That was the exact beauty about hostels… How strangers bonded in the most mysterious ways.

Talking to strangers is sometimes easier

It is indeed… I think that the fact that strangers don’t expect anything from you, and knowing that you can’t possibly spread information they share with you makes the connection that much easier. And of course, it goes both ways 😉
