I can see how that would make a difference in your choice… But if I tell you your age wouldn’t be affected by time traveling, what would your preference be? 🙂
I’d like to go back into the past.
I’d like to spend more time with my maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather. I really have no memories of them. I’d like to know who they were.
I’d like to tell my younger self that it is going to be okay in the future. That I should not fear if I fall down. (If i take my today’s experience with me)
I’d like to go back and give myself a chance at computer science engineering. (If I get to change the past)
I’d like to capture more memories in pictures, even though I have a lot of them.
Oh! I have a lot of wishes 😛 😀 one of them being to be able to travel in future too 😀
How far ahead… Just a little, to see the world your children will grow up in, or something more like sci-fi future, where you’d really be experiencing a totally different era? 🙂
I want pictures of these flying cars we’ve been talking about for ages!! Oh wait, I’m not woried… You’ll take pictures (great ones too) of everything odd and amazing for our 2019 eye! 😉
I promise to send you back, if I ever get my hands on a trustworthy time machine, dear Beckie 🙂 I’d love to give you the opportunity to re-live these precious moments xx
The past. I’d love to see how the Pyramids were built, what dinosaurs really looked like and to talk to Davinci. Maybe even get into an argument with him. 😀
Mouahahahaha I love it! That argument with Davinci idea really cracked me up 🙂 Can you imagine making such a genius believe you are from the future??
I am just very confidant that there will be an end to the troubles that plague mankind today. I can’t wait to see a clean earth and a happy healthy human race at complete peace with one another and living in harmony with the rest of creation.
My own past is certainly more interesting and exciting than my present, and I don’t hold out a lot of hope for my future … so, based on that … take me back please. I promise to behave better this time
(I may have uttered that hollow promise before, though)
*turning time machine buttons on ”back in time” mode* But promise me something… Don’t behave too much 😉 People are much more interesting with a flaw or two!
Hmm … that’s hard to say. I have always been drawn to England in the 1920s and 30s. I love all the literature from that era (P.G. Wodehouse, E.F. Benson, Agatha Christie, etc.) Of course, I’d only want to visit the idealized version of it. I know the 1930s wasn’t good for everyone. So I’d just go back to the fantasy version.
Maybe the future is what we need to see, precisely because it may not be a pretty sight. In that case I wouldn’t want to go alone though, because I’m already on board with the “we need to do better” – movement. If I’d go to the future I’d drag all the people with me that would benefit from the sight to improve their attitude.
Like Saumya said though, we would have to have the power to change that future image.
I’d rather visit the past. Then I could spend time with people who are no longer with us in the present.

Depends if I’d be allowed to change the past/future, if I’d be the same age as I am today or I’d grow younger/older.

I’d want to travel back to October 8, 1987 through August of 2001. Those were the happiest days of my life.

And how far ahead would you like to travel? Just a peek at your own future, or something like visiting the next millenium? 😉

I highly doubt that… Why wouldn’t you? 😉 But I understand that you like to keep the part of mystery!

I kinda share your opinion here… I try to be optimistic, but it’s hard to imagine things going uphill on long term, for humanity.

I am not brave enough to go to the future so I’ll go back to the past.

Assuming the following:
1. I can come back to the present any time I want
2. I can pick the time and place I go to
Then I would definitely go to the past. I have little to no interest in the future.
