Where’s Waldo? No, I mean Melanie!

This morning, as I was going through my early morning routine, I noticed that noone had published today’s Word of the Day Challenge post. I’ve been co-hosting that blog for years now, along with Kristian and Melanie B Cee. And it is not that unusual that one of us forgets or misschedules a post.

And whenever that happens, one of the other two steps up, and takes care of providing the day’s prompt.

But this morning, I suddenly remembered that I had filled in a couple of times without giving it more thought than that, the last two weeks. So I investigated a little, to find out that Melanie hadn’t posted anything since August 5th or 6th.

If you’ve been blogging for a while, you’ve probably come across Melanie, and her blog Sparks From a Combustible Mind. And you also probably know that Melanie is a regular blogger, who publishes several posts a day.

Usually.

I felt terrible for not noticing before… But, better late than never, right? So I wrote to Melanie, to check up on her. At that time, I was very worried that something terribly bad could have happened.

I was about to have her picture printed on milk cartons.

And thank God, not long after, I got a note back, confirming that Melanie was hospitalized, but doing ok now, and due to be sent home sometime next week.

Pfewwwww! What a relief!

I asked Melanie if I could just let you all know about this (she agreed, no worries). Because the Bloggosphere is like a big family on WordPress, and I know that I can’t be the only one who worried about Melanie’s unexpected absence.

If you too noticed her lack of posting, and missed her presence in your Reader, I invite you to click on the link to her blog (above), and leave her your get-well wishes so she’ll know that we all miss her.

Because we do… Don’t we? (Come on, the woman is AwEsOmE)

  1. We did notice that she wasn’t posting 10 days ago and Di of Pensitivity emailed her and informed us all. Last evening ( mine) she also posted her response to fibbing Friday and it was a relief to finally see a post from her. Sending her healing thoughts and hugs
