I was invited (well, not personally, but still…) to join the Fandango’s Friday Flashback!

Fandango scrolls back, every Friday, and gives a second chance to a post he had published on the same date the year before. I thought it was a great way to remember some of the stuff I did a while back, and I decided to participate…

So here it is!

Previously published on December 6th of 2016, this post is a reminder of a tragedy that happened exactly 30 years ago. Québec’s motto being ”Je me souviens” (I remember), I think it is a duty not to forget the darkest pages of history… If only not to let things like that happen ever again.

27 years ago, Québec was wounded in its history…

A disturbed man entered a College, separated men from women, and slaughtered the girls. With all the madness going around in the world, 14 deaths and 14 wounded people could seem like a minor incident. But it scarred the province deeply.

I know one one of the victims’ sister, and I feel for the families today. For the victims’ and for the killer’s. A sad day…
