I haven’t been to Dragør yet. The city is just South of Copenhagen (Actually South of Kastrup, where the international airport is located).
Not having visited the place myself, I rely on the information I could gather on the internet, and if you are from, or have been in Dragør, please correct me in the comments, or add any information you think people should know about!
So here are a few things I learnt about Dragør…
The little city was built around its fishing harbour, and it has the highest number of protected properties for a small Danish town; 76 in the city itself, and 5 by the harbour. So if you are looking for the authentic Danish experience, I have the feeling that Dragør will be just the town to charm you!

In the harbour, the Dragør Museum offers a walk through the history of the fishermen’s town.

A stop at Mølsted Museum will introduce you to the work of seascape painter, Christian Mølsted.
All in all, I get the feeling that Dragør is not a common stop for tourists. Just for that reason, I feel compelled to add it to the list of places I want to see. Its typical yellow houses call for me. Just the kind of places where you make the best chance encounters!
Because I knew little about Dragør, I made some research on WP… And here is a post from Oregon Girl Around the World with great suggestions about the hot spots to have a drink, grab a bite or spend the night at!
