Good morning Lovelies…
Today is a special day for me, blogging-wise. Roll of drums please!
A year ago, I was officially opening the Cove. I was far from aware of how this simple home away from “real life” home would change my life. It all started with a girl that needed a place to talk about Denmark, because my family and friends were about to get saturated with my Danish anecdotes… And look now.
I got so much more out of my experience… I “met” amazing people, made new friends, broadened my view of the world… It helped me become more creative, build up a fantasy world of my own, vent when things were not all good, and share when I had good news… It made me reflect about my life, and about myself. It made me more confident in my words and my writting… It validated that I had a voice that was worth being heard.
I remember when I started. I was keyboard shy. I hesitated about posting about sensible matters, I doubted a lot of the things I was saying. I worried about feedback, and what people might think about my blabbering around.
I remember the first steps, when only a handful of people were reading my posts. I thought it would stay that way, and I was ok with it, but as the Cove got alive, one Lovely at a time, it made me more self-assured.
That’s why I thought this week, my theme for the “Nombril de semaine” would be blogs that have less than 100 readers. While scrolling through the list of blogs I follow, I noticed quite a few, and when I visit one, I try to make it a point to leave feedback, to encourage the newcomers to keep going! Want to join in and make a difference?
