Jeg kan godt lide…

Have you ever had the feeling that you lived in something comparable to the Truman Show? If you have seen the movie, that is… Otherwise, do you sometimes get the feeling that there is some kind of spireware going on in your life giving information to the rest of the world about your whereabouts?

I do, all the time. Sometimes there are just too many coincidences, and I get suspicious. I hope I am wrong, not only because I like my intimacy, but because it would be boring in the most painful way for the people that would get stuck with having to watch over me!

Anyway, yesterday for my first (more) serious Danish lesson, I practiced liking things… “I like *something* – Jeg kan godt lide…”  Which will be very useful since I like a lot on a regular basis.

I even found out today that I officially have a Liker. I am pretty excited about that! I won’t tell chéri though, because I already have had to face a bit of suspiciousness yesterday when he found out I texted my tutor exclusively in Danish…

“Skal vi mødes på Café St-Henri klokken et?”

I must admit it could be suspicious, if

  1. I hadn’t told chéri about my mysterious meeting in a downtown coffee shop.
  2. I hadn’t texted this mysterious Dane from chéri’s phone, since I don’t have cell.

Anyway…

So about liking…  I feel WordPress is putting a lot of pressure on my shoulders. I want to be a good liker. As most of you know, when someone likes a post, the author receives an email saying the following:

*name of the liker* liked your post on *name of your blog*

They thought *name of your post* was pretty awsome.

You should go see what they’re up to. Maybe you’ll like their blog as much as they liked yours!”

That message makes me a little uncomfortable. I would probably need WordPress to be more precise about the intensity of awsomeness involved in being in the position to like! If you have to be like, “wow man! that was AW-SOME!” to like a post… I’ve probably overliked a few times… Then again, I never like just because other people have liked me first…  All my likes are heartfelt, but maybe not as intensely as WordPress expects me to.

When I think about people who like my posts, I really like them and hope to like what they have to say to the world, so I can like them back in return…

Actually, when people like a post, they should receive an email saying:

“You liked a post of *put your name here*

He/she  thinks you are pretty awsome!”

Yeah… They really should…

Jeg kan godt lide jer, rutawoters 🙂
