That was a lie. She was well past her due bedtime, but she didn’t care. Nothing a cup of black coffee wouldn’t fix the next morning.
His voice was a lullaby she couldn’t possibly get tired of. After months of these sweet pillow talks, she still felt butterflies in her stomach, everytime they spoke. He could have read her the phone book, she would have kept listening… But everything he had to share was heartstring tugging.
She was as surprise of her tongue slipping.
