Yesterday,
I stumbled upon
A handful of words…
Words once inspiring,
Words I once admired.
I looked
Over my shoulder,
And remembered
How you once
Lured me
Like so many others…
So many.
Sucking people’s attention,
Feeding on their praises
And mine.
Until you wanted
Them no more.
You tried to plant
A hating seed
In my heart.
You tried to feed it
With your vile
And vicious plans…
But you failed,
Miserably.
And in all honesty,
For you
I am sorry.
Yesterday,
I stumbled
But I did not fall
(Again)
For your angelic
Smile,
Knowing too well
How sharp your teeth
Are.
A poignant poem Cranny
