I was invited (well, not personally, but still…) to join the Fandango’s Friday Flashback!

Fandango scrolls back, every Friday, and gives a second chance to a post he had published on the same date the year before. I thought it was a great way to remember some of the stuff I did a while back, and I decided to participate…

So here it is!

Previously posted on November 22nd of 2016, here’s a little something from my very early times as a blogger. (I hadn’t really started talking about Denmark… It gives you a little idea how new blogging was to me! LOL) I hope you’ll enjoy it!

I am working on my first article about Danish stuff… But I had to abort my work to post this. Because today is a very special day. Today Mads Mikkelsen turned 50, and he is still as fabulous as ever, if not even more!

I will get back to Mads later ( I always get back to Mads!! There is no medicine known to cure madsness yet.. )

I just wanted to highlight the anniversary.

It is funny, because in Danish, the common birthday wish is “Tillykke med fødselsdagen” (literally “Congratulation for your birthday”). Personally, if I have a chance to meet Mads on his birthday, or a few days before or after for that matter… I think I won’t congratulate him. I’ll thank him for being alive!

As I read in an open-to-fans virtual birthday card for Mads a few years ago, and by far the comment related to him that made me laugh the hardest (I still giggle thinking about it), and as that person expressed in a direct, but spot-on way:

“Mads… You flawless fuck! Happy birthday!”

Excuse the cursing, but it is a quote! 🙂
