Good evening, dear Lovelies,
I hope this finds you doing well!
Here, things are pretty good, and after a couple of weeks working normal business hours, I am getting used to a new and more normal routine. I am cooking a lot more, sleeping at more reasonable hours, and all in all, I think it was a rather wise thing to switch.
I do need my Wall of Fame more than I used to, though. Working with Boo Boss almost all week long now, I appreciate phasing her negativeness off by watching my wall, and remembering all the great people that I can turn to when I need a little boost!
And talking about that, here’s a picture of my Wall of Fame taken today:
Do you notice anything new? Maybe these little guys?
Yes!! Yesterday, a card was awaiting me in the mailbox after my day at work. The kind Carol Anne (and her furry baby, Nitro) from Therapy Bits sent me this great collection of bright colored smileys, that are sure to make me smile too everytime I look at them!
Thank you, dear Carol Anne! I hope people will drop by your blog and discover your world. You are one kind hearted young lady, and you’ve cheered me up with your comments more times than I can recall.
Thank you!! *Big big hugs* dear!
Let’s stay in the feel good file.
An eternity ago, I linked in a Ko-fi account in The Cove. Quite honestly, I never expected anyone to give me any money for blogging. I just thought it was cool to think that maybe someone, someday would stop by and drop a coffee’s worth handful of change in my virtual carton cup.
And… Ten days ago, on The Cove’s fourth anniversary, Takeeverychanceyouget did just that.
MY FIRST KO-FI!!!! EVER!!
Woot woot! You can’t even imagine the happy dancing that took place in my humble apartment.
Thank you, Takeeverychanceyouget!
My last mention tonight goes to a lady that you might know already. The host of A Jeanne in the Kitchen has had a little misshap, after the first signs of winter. Innocent victim of snomeggedon, she had to close the kitchen (her blog) in order to let her severe wrist sprain rest and heal. It’s quite a coincidence, because I recently started to cook a lot, and mainly using my slow-cooker (it’s the best for this time of year… You just can’t get enough comfort food when winter is knocking at you door), and I wanted to offer her some kind of collaboration, if she liked my cooking experiments, of course.
We’ll have to wait for that… In the meanwhile, please drop over to offer your best wishes to Jeanne here.
But still. I’ll leave you on tonight’s meal. A great (slow-cooked, it goes without saying) vegetable soup with curd cheese.
How was your week? Any nice surprises in your life too? I hope you’re all headed to a most hyggelig weekend…
Good night, from Montréal!
