Neither. Either scenario is horrible to contemplate. But if I HAD to chose one or the other? The fantasy world, obviously. Pragmatism is fine in it’s place and in moderation, but a steady diet of that would render me more depressed and suicidal than I am. I don’t need any help with that, thanks.
I agree that it is all about moderation…. But moderation doesn’t give very interesting questions to ask here 😉 Hehehe thank you for your answer, Melanie! xx
We need both, but if I really had to choose, I would choose the pragmatic way. At least that way things would get done. In a fantasy world NOTHING would ever be accomplished because people would be to busy dreaming about doing something rather than actually putting those thoughts into action.
I understand your point, and it is funny, it made me realize there was a connection with my earlier question about doers and thinkers 😉 Kind of an unintentional parallel, hehehehe Thank you for sharing your thoughts! xx

It seems we already live the latter…though, I’d replace the word “fantasy” with “delusion”.

It is a bit surreal to watch the news, I agree with you. Hopefully, we’ll find a finer balance soon?

I sure hope so.

I don’t think either would make you happy completely. You need both.

Absolutely, and though I would lean toward ”fantasy” by instinct, I think too that we need both in the end 🙂

Reality with a dose of fantasy, often is my choice.
