The Sunshine Blogger Award

On this (Canadian) Thanksgiving day, I have a very special reason to be thankful. A few days ago, I got my very first Blogger Award nomination!!

As you can guess, I danced my best touch down dance in the living room before coming back to the keyboard (No, I never watched football, but my touch down dance rocks nonetheless!) But first thing first, big warm thanks to It’s me Saraa for this nomination! And you are right, girl, this does feel like winning an Oscar… Hey! Leonardo, I’ve been in the business for only one year! Don’t you wish you had blogged instead of spending all that time making movies??  😉 (something tells me he’d get back to me with some witty joke like “hey, let’s compare paychecks!”, but still…)

And now, the serious stuff…

“The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who inspire and bring sunshine into the lives of their readers and fellow bloggers.”

I honestly never even dared dreaming about a nomination… And this Award is very special to me… Again, thank you Saraa! You’re awesome!

My answers; 

1- Who’s your idol? and why?

I don’t really have an idol. I have many people I look up to, and who inspire me, though. My parents who have been a kickass team (pardon my French) for 35+ years and still love each other genuinely, my bestfriend who rocks her life after beating cancer, writers I’d like to have half the talent… And the list goes on… But an idol? Not really.

2- where do you see yourself in 10 years? what would you say to that person?

Let’s go the “wildest dream” road, shall we? In 10 years, I’d like to have found a way to live off my writing, in one way or another. If successful enough, I would have a little “pied à terre” in Denmark, where I would spend a few months every year with Chéri, eventually making myself understood by locals, after much studying… hahaha What would I say to future me? “Thanks for holding on!”

3- Favorite movie/book??

I’ll go with “Attentat” from Amélie Nothomb. It is a brilliant reflection on beauty (and the lack of)… I got that book on Christmas Eve some years ago, and the next morning I had read it all…

4- If you could live as another person for a day, who would you choose?

I thought about brilliant people first, but I think it would bug me to come back to my good old self after that… So I’ll treat myself, and say Mads Mikkelsen’s wife, but on a day he’s home, mouahahahahaha!

5- Hogwarts or Narnia :D?

Honestly? Neither… I haven’t read the books or seen the movies for either choices…

6- what can you NOT forgive? what hurts you the most?

Hmmm… That’s a tough one. I am pretty forgetful. Holding grudges only hurts me, so I try not to do it. But I would say that what hurts me the most is being given the silence treatment…

7- What are your “happy thoughts” like?

It can be pretty much anything that makes me happy in life, but I must admit that I like drifting back to my favorite sceneries in Denmark, and enjoying the free feeling I had while back there….

8- If could change your name.. what would it be ? *Phoebe be like, Princess Consuela Banana Hammock.*

I never gave a thought about changing names… Maybe just switching to Cyranny officially? (Phoebe just rocked at this, I wish I could ask her opinion. I wish I could be her friend period! LOL)

9- What is your favorite song? and why?

I don’t have one favorite song… It changes with time, and there are a lot of songs I really really like… But at the moment, the song I listen to the most often, I would have to say “Tomgang” from Shaka Loveless because it is the only Danish song I can sing along from beginning until the end 😛 And you just can’t top Danish Reggae, it is just the strangest mixt ever, and I love it 🙂

2-What would be one thing you’d rather pay someone for doing, rather than do it yourself? And why?

3-How old would you say you are, if you suddenly didn’t know how old you are?

4-What is something you know you do differently from everybody else?

5-What is one thing you haven’t done, but you really want to do? What is holding you back?

6-Would you rather be a worried genius, or a happy simpleton?

7-What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?

8-What would you do differently, if you knew nobody would judge you?

9-Who would you like to be able to stand in front of, stare into his/her eyes, and say “I love you”?

10- Where would you go with a plane ticket open to any destination? Why?

  1. Congrats on the award, sunshine! I love love loved your answers Phoebe!!! Hahaha! Ah, would be a fun coffee sharing gaggle with you I can tell! Sometimes I think I write too ‘serious’ very rarely showing my fun side to the blogosphere… I have to do something about that eh? Great post!
