Since I decided to be a Valkyrie, I made a little research to be sure to be a good one.

I Googled “How to be a good Valkyrie”, but most of the suggested links seemed to be about role-playing (which I already know too much about) and videogames (which I couldn’t care less about). I was (once again) very disappointed in the Internets.

So I Wikkied just “Valkyrie” to give myself a mental picture of what I’d have to achieve, and prepared pen and paper to make my to-do list…

I was off to a bad start… Valkyries are virgin warriors… I’ll just say I don’t exactly qualify. But my little finger tells me there musn’t be so many people applying for the job, so I’ll try anyway… They can always teach me how to be a good warrior!

I already know my boss, Odin. Well I don’t actually really really know him, but I’ve heard a lot about him in “Vikings” and I am catching up reading his biography. Quite a busy guy. I’ll tell you more when I get to meet him.

It would have been cool to ride a Pegasus. A lot of the job-offer posters depicted beauties wrapped in white clothing, sitting on a Pegasus… But seems I’ll only get an angry wolf. Maybe after some number of years, I can have a promotion… I am not that picky though. I have already made my peace with the wolf thing. (As you already could see in my previous post)

At first, I found a little disturbing to accept that my cat would become my supervisor… But I thought about it for a few minutes, and figured it’s always been the case anyway!

So now I just have to find myself a soulbag but that might just be the most difficult prep step. Where do they sell soulbags? How much do they sell soulbags? Who are they?…

I can’t show up on the battlefield, mounted on my growling wolf, and expect to bring back warrior souls without a bag!!? What if souls are sticky? Or worse, what if they are slimy and slippery? No, I need a soulbag big time!

Time for some “soulbag” Googling…
