    1. Wow! I would like to say that I’m surprised, but I did experience this when I lived in Africa. With this said, here in Freezingland, people put shorts on when the thermometer hits 60 F. What a clash 😛

    1. I recognize a Freezinglander when I meet one 😉
You are absolutely right, Anne. Humidity is the big factor when temperatures drop below freezing point. It just gets to your bones, no matter how many layers you are wearing… 😛

    1. The F and C reference is really important here, for sure. 30 F degrees is not super comfortable, while it is a nice summer feeling for C’s people.

I totally understand how 30 F feels freezing to you, but I must say that it is still nice to people here in Freezingland 😉

  1. I think I am pretty hardy when it comes to temperatures. But what really gets to me is when it is wet/damp and cold. The cold moisture in the air seems to penetrate every layer.

If I am moving – walking quickly – I can normally cope ok with the cold – but standing or sitting in the cold – I struggle. I know I am past the point of misery when I start shivering.

    1. I totally agree, Caramel..
Humidity makes the cold so much colder. It doesn’t really matter what we condider ”cold” to begin with. When the humidity level is up, it just gets to your bones.
