The interviewer’s voice vaguely echoed through his mind.

If they only knew…

She was so much more than a muse… Ultimate inspiration wrapped in the purest, pinkest silk… A symphony of curves and fine lines. If only he could write her with his poor unworthy words.

That’s all he had tried doing for the past years. Relentlessly knitting together all the thoughts she breathed into him. Trying to do her justice, but never quite achieving a flattering portrait. Just not yet…

The journalist coughed softly.

So, Mr Perkins… Would you say you have a muse?
