Oh my… I wouldn’t have thought about it, but YES! I don’t know if that’s something that was just usual in my family, but Mom used to rub our throat with it, and then tighten a sock around our neck for the night. Definately a childhood smell memory for me too. It must be a Freezingland thing 😛 Hihihihi
Hmmmm… I remember Mom used to remove apple’s cores and fill the hole with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter, then cook them. Easy, quick and yummy dessert. Nom nom nom! 🙂 xx
😦 Should I guess that at least one of your parents was a neat freak? I imagine that with what happened the last year and a half (++), they would have said ”I told you so!”
Soap suds in Dad’s window cleaning bucket.
Grass – we spent so much running around and rolling over in the grass.
Chlorine – from the swimming pool where we spent around ten – fifteen hours every week.
Gas – our oven and stove were gas and I remember as a child being very frightened as I learnt to turn on the hob and then hold a match out. It was scary.
Mum’s date and walnut cake baking in the oven.
Vicks vapor rub! Strong but effective stuff.

Awww I love mint, Joy 🙂 I wish it reminded me of my childhood too… But we didn’t use it all that much back then.

Such a pleasant smell to fill the kitchen. Much better than the smell of beets cooking. LOL!
