My bestfriend, that is.
If you’ve been a regular in The Cove, you probably know that my BFF and I have been friends for over thirty years. Which, by my standards means that J and I are real soul sisters.
J has always found the wildest ways to celebrate my birthday. Once, she picked me up to give me a ride to work, in her fully decorated car, and served me a breakfast muffin topped with a lit candle, for me to make a wish. (note to anyone reading this… This is NOT a good idea. Small space, lots of smoke… Unless you can roll down the windows – not really possible in Freezingland at the beginning of March – disaster. But still, a sweet idea)
This year, the possibilities were reduced to almost nothing, Montréal still being in almost complete lockdown. She could only send me a present.
And I got it this morning… I waited until she finished working to open the precious little box as if I was with her. And I was really happy I managed to wait until then, because my reaction was very vocal.
Covid friendly nisser!
For those of you new to my blog, nisser are little Danish gnomes (usually most popular around Christmas time but in display all year long in our apartment). First things first, they ARE Danish. And these little buddies are wearing face masks, so they will always remind me of this weird birthday.
Need I say I just love them? What’s there not to love about them?
And, again… Don’t even think about it. J’s MY bestfriend… And I’m not letting her go without a fight!
Aww, such a sweet and unique idea! ❤️

It was last Thursday… And I had a great time despite covid’s restrictions. I even went to the movies (first time in more than a year) to see Mads latest Danish movie, Druk! If you and The Viking get a chance to see it, I really recommend it. LOVED it.
Thank you so much for stopping by, it is always so nice to hear from you, my friend 🙂 🙂 🙂 *Big hugs*
P.S. my answer is in your inbox 😉

Nisser are definately a nice Danish touch to add to a home’s decoration. I have a collection of the classic ones, but I must admit, this little couple will be a cute reminder of our 2020-2021 adventure 😉 Thank you for the visit, Rowena, it is always a pleasure to read you!! xx
