I would definitely bring tools. People will argue and talk back, tools don’t. With that said, I will probably bring an axe to chop wood, pocketknife with lots of tools like screwdrivers, and a flint to start a fire.

Tools might well be more useful. On the other hand someone like my son in law who has military survival training might be the best idea.
