When you leave your block for the first time in six weeks, and discover that a building of your neighbourhood has been completely revamped with an extended mural.
And judging from the details, I must have been confined for longer than I thought.
I had a good reason to get out, don’t judge me!
I went to meet with my little brother – with a 6 feet distance – that I hadn’t seen in two months. You might remember my recent jam cooking, (catch up here) I had a jar for him, and I just wanted to share with him. (he is probably my biggest cooking fan, I needed his praises tomorrow morning when he eats his toasts)
I’m back home now. Hopefully safe and well. Until Chรฉri and I have to go to the hospital on Monday (wish us luck).
Sneaky…hahaha.
Good luck with your visit to the hospital. Just take extra precautions you’ll be fine.

Thank you Andrei ๐ And yes, we’ll be extra cautious. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long in there.

Thank you, Cheryl ๐ Going to the hospital is the last thing we want to do at the moment, but it seems like it’s really important for Chรฉri’s doctors… We’ll just make sure to be super super cautious ๐ *Big hugs*

Oh!! I’ll be thinking about you, Bee! Isn’t it weird to be worried about going to a place that is usually so safe? Take good care… *Big hugs*

It’s absolutely weird. But I think they do everything they can to keep us safe. It’s more dangerous for those who work there ๐โโ๏ธ๐

Thank you so much Anne ๐ As you might have heard, Quรฉbec is starting to ”reopen” on Monday too. Which seems crazy to me… Is pretty much everything still closed in Ontario?

That is a stunning mural! I’ll be praying for you as you head to the hospital โค Sending huge hugs. And thatโs special you were able to see your brother even with social distancing. I bet you he was so thrilled to try that jam- it looked extremely tasty!

Thank you Gorgeous ๐ Yes, it was great to have a quick chat on the sidewalk. As children, my brother and I were like cats and dogs, but with time, we’ve grown into really loving each other ๐ And as her big sister, taking care of him often translates into food gifts. He doesn’t cook much, but he enjoys my skills ๐ So it was great to share this with him… I hope you’re doing well, please be super cautious!! xx

Aw I understand that- my sister and I were/are the same— But nothing keeps that sibling friendship on better terms than the bond over food :)! Thank you, Cyra! I hope you are doing well too!

Thank you Donna ๐ I must say, I had mixed feelings about going out… We needed to move the car (parking is a nightmare in Montrรฉal), but walking across strangers was a little scary. Not everyone is cautious about the 6 feet distance in town. But my reward was to spend this (little) time with my little brother ๐ xx

I love building murals and Montreal has some of the best! I hope it all goes well on Monday. And I know what you mean about not everyone being cautious–I went to a different grocery store yesterday (my usual one is VERY safe) and in this place, everyone was just all up on each other, and the cashiers weren’t wearing gloves or using sanitizer! I’ll never go back there!
