5 Things I’d Like to See More of!

Sadje, from Keep it Alive posted 5 things I’d like to see more of today. Well, 5 things she‘d like to see more of. And I thought “Hey, there probably are 5 somethings I’d like to see more of too!!”

So here we go…

(sleeping) Vikoala.

I don’t know why koalas are scoring so high on my cuteness-scale. I like pretty much every kind of animal there is, but for some reason, koala bears just make me weak in the knees. (and I still can’t believe that I migh see some next week… NEXT WEEK!! *Excited*)

Vikoalas are a sub-species of super strong koala bears you can find only in Denmark. They are faster, stronger and reproduce more easily than their Australian cousins. All of that makes them the only chance for the whole lineage of cute furballs not to go extinct!

What? They don’t exist? Just another good reason to wish we’d see more of them!

Common sense:

Another one on the list of the “about to go extinct” things in Life… In 2020 we pride ourselves on being all technological, and knowing it alls. Yet, we have to get reminded that coffee might be hot, and that peanut bags may contain nut traces. Just in the building where I work, we have a sign telling us to flush the toilet once if you peed and twice it you had to poo, and another to kindly ask to butter your bread after toasting it…

Anyone needing this kind of advice shouldn’t be allowed to leave home unattended.

More common sense? Yes please!

The sun:

This is the first year in my life, that I suffered from the where-the-dang-is-the-sun disorder. My temper followed the days, getting shorter and shorter, and to make things worse, it seemed like even during daytime, the sun was playing with my nerves. I discovered I wasn’t too keen on playing hide & seek… I need my daylight!!

Fortunately, moving to the other end of the world for several weeks in a couple of days should fix that and I should be ok until Spring comes back, sooner or later!

Participants to my Kind Hearted Challenge:

Ok, I am cheating here, boldly auto-promoting my Kind Hearted Challenge. You thought I had forgotten about that? Not at all… I am coming up with a new edition, on February 1st, and though it might not be a monthly thing, I intend on keeping the challenge alive and going.

And if you are thinking “what is the Kind Hearted Challenge??”, please click on the link above and join us in the fun and free spreading of kindness!

Mads Mikkelsen:

If you didn’t see this one coming, you must be new around The Cove!

Just to be clear, I wouldn’t like to see more Mads Mikkelsens. I don’t think I could bear more than one Mads. But I sure would like to see more of Mads Mikkelsen. At the movies, on tv, in magazines…  And above all, in person, even if I might faint the first couple of times.

That’s endearing, right?

Mads… Awwww Mads. Need I say more? I think not.

So, what about you? What are 5 things you’d like to see more of? I’d be curious to go through your list! If you make a post of your own, please link me and Sadje in, so we’re sure not to miss it…

      1. That’s so cool! What a wondrous world we live in that we can travel so far so quickly, and be close to those who live so far away. I will definitely set my clock and will send you lots of good thoughts at 6:30. 🙂 xoxo

        Have a wonderful trip!

      2. This makes me really happy 🙂 I wish I could have invited you to come take a coffee at the airport… But we have a really quick transfer scheduled. Hopefully next time, there will be enough of a buffer to get together 🙂 *big hugs*

      3. No problem. I know getting through DFW airport can be something of a slog when you’re trying to catch a connection. Plus I’m not sure I would be able to get on the “secured side” of the airport without a ticket. I hope the coffee was good, at least.

Maybe we’ll get an opportunity to have a cup of coffee on your return flight stop-over. 🙂

    1. Thank you Sadje 🙂 My picks were much (very much) less serious, but it was a lot of fun building this list. More of good things indeed 🙂

Unfortunately, since it is on Netflix (and we are not members), I didn’t get to see Polar yet… But I have to find a way to get my hands on it. Did you see it?

  1. Thumbs up for common sense and sun. I’m waiting for the kind hearted challenge. Haven’t seen any post about it recently. Do you hold it every month?

    1. Thank you Saumya 🙂 I started the Kind Hearted Challenge as a monthly thing, but it was not as successful as I wished, so I’ll keep it running, just not every month. I think the next challenge should be a good one, since it is completely free and especially easy to achieve. I hope you’ll join in 🙂 xx

  2. Yes to more common sense, it is an endangered species.

And oh, yes, more koalas of every kind. I’ve heard they can be vicious little things but they are so bloody cute!
I’d kinda like to take this 5 things challenge but not sure how it all works. I’ve been blogging on wordpress since 2011 and just recently started to try to interact more so much of this is new to me. Any advice from participants?
