I was invited (well, not personally, but still…) to join the Fandango’s Friday Flashback!
Fandango scrolls back, every Friday, and gives a second chance to a post he had published on the same date the year before. I thought it was a great way to remember some of the stuff I did a while back, and I decided to participate…
So here it is!
Previously posted on July 5th of 2017, here is a little piece of poetry, memory of two-years-ago me!

Fly eagle,
fly high, and
fly far, fly fast
where most
needed you are…
*
Fly eagle,
let nothing stop
you. Your talons
might hurt, but
keep going anywho…
*
Fly eagle,
over mountains
and over meadows,
in the morning light
and the sunset glows…
*
Fly eagle,
and please don’t
forget to tip and gaze
when you fly over where
your meekest admirer lays…

Very nice. I couldn’t help, after reading it to be reminded of this song:

Thank you 🙂 And with the step back, the song absolutely fits!! Thanks for sharing the link…
I thought it was funny that this eagle poem had come to me the day after Independance day… You know, US, bald eagle… My subcouncious was probably manifesting in some way!
