Both Uma Thurman and Janeane Garofalo played in many other movies, but I must admit I haven’t heard about either of them recently… Janeane is one of my favorite American actresses, and if you like her too, I recommend ”The Match Maker”… It dates back to 1997, but it is a cute movie like this one 🙂
Beauty is only skin deep? – no. True beauty is completely within – completely – the skin only betrays our eyes and completely compromises our perception of what really matters … it makes me sad that this and other movies try to address this yet fall short and compromise their own intent in some ways. Sorry – that’s how I feel about it … funny movie, and I like its intent, but …
No need for an apology! I agree that there is a gap between the intent and the result, but I think it is a nice entertainment 🙂 One of my girly classics, that needs to be watched wrapped in a blanket with a good cup of hot chocolate! Thank you for sharing your thoughts…
