I usually just take pictures of little things that catch my eye, when it comes to After Eight Moments…
.
Today, I have two people to thank for my (almost) daily picture. Both of them inspired me with a post they published on their blog this week.
.
Ladies first, Shelley from Quaint Revival, posted recently about simply changing the angle to show the most common things in a different light. She suggested taking pictures from ground level, something we rarely do.
.
Brett, from O’Canada, is a big fan of Canadian art, and published a post this week, about the amazing Virginia Mak. The great artist plays beautifully with intended blurriness. Now if you are used to take pictures with a cellphone, you probably know that these little things have an obsession of focusing on something at all costs. Usually not what you want to be clear in the picture.
.
So, Shelley, Brett… Thank you!
.
Thanks to your two posts, I came up with this more abstract take. I hope you’ll enjoy it, as much as I like the textures and shades of the setting sunlight.

Thank you Brett! And thank you again for introducing me to the work of Virginia! This is nowhere near as cool as her art, but she inspired me to try new things 🙂

Wonderfully creative, and I love the way the strong light and focus seems to turn the scene into a collection of abstract shapes.

Thank you so much, Eleanor… I have tons of unintendedly blurry pictures, but it is the first time I play with it… Most probably not the last 😉 xx
