Happy Saturday Lovelies!
I am working on our Cadavre Exquis puzzle, and I thought about something. I’d like to have your opinion on the matter.
The response for this second round of the game was beyond my expectations, and I wanted to leave each writer some liberty by not limiting anybody to something like a maximum of 50 words.
I have the first five pieces so far, and I am realizing that it will end up being one very long story in the end. I know that some people don’t have time and/or enjoy reading too lenghty stories.
So with that in mind, I thought I could divide the people who wanted to play into two teams. I’d start a second story, and that way the process would be much faster, and we’d get two long stories instead of one super long one.
So what do you think?
I’ll wait until Sunday night… and then I’ll go with the majority… You know how democratic things are in The Cove, mouhahahahahaha…
.
I’m not taking part but I like the idea exactly because of your reasons: I love long novels but not long blogposts

Thanks for giving your opinion, Bee 🙂
I, myself often skip some posts that are just too long, even if they are well writen, interesting and brilliant… I just don’t have enough time
I’ll wait to see what the others think, but I have a feeling it will be 2 different stories 🙂
I hope you are enjoying your weekend!! xx

I think splitting into two stories is a great idea. 🙂

Thank you, Sandra 🙂 I think that’s what I’ll do… that way we’ll have 2 stories in half the time!!

two stories sounds more manageable to me 🙂

I’m too honest to feed your ego that way … how many long posts have you spotted on my blog … I resent long posts so two or four would be fine, still gets the collaborative effort and creativity 🙂

🙂 Four is impossible, I’m too far down the list already, but I could do 3… That would be reasonable I think! I’m still giving myself until tomorrow to decide. But thanks again for making me think outside my own box 🙂 xxx

I agree 2 stories does seem a better idea. What you could do, is ask those who you are thinking for the second story if they want to do 2. But then you might still have the problem that one is going to be long

One is definately going to be super long, so for the sake of the last writers, I really think I’ll split in two teams… And then we can make Cadaver Battle!! LOL

which ever team I am in, I will win. Otherwise I will sulk, and we don’t want a repeat of the Trina family Christmas day pass the parcel of 2008

It was not pretty, but why the hell should a 3 year old win just because he is 3?? I dont care the prize was doctor who socks 3-5 I wanted them and by setting it up was just wrong.

I’m with you… these toddlers are such babies! Suck it up, you looser… you’ll have plenty of Christmases when you can win! Give the adults a chance!! (LOL)

My point exactly, they need to learn early that I will win :-p

I think I divide you in three teams, after thinking about it all evening long…. That way, people will be able to read your work soon, and the posts won’t be scary-long! 🙂

How many words is the one story so far? And how many have signed up but have yet to contribute?

I have received the first 5 parts, and they add up to about 750 words… I have 15 people on the list, so I am thinking about wrapping the first story up, and starting 2 other teams of five bloggers…

That makes sense. Who has the time to read 750+ word posts?

I agree… I think that if the posts are too long, readers might not stay until the last part of the story. And that would be a shame…

I’m ok with either way, but have you sent my sentence to me yet? I’m behind on email and if you have I’ll check up on it…

No, your turn hasn’t come up yet… I ask people to confirm they got my email when I send their sentence… I’ll let you know if my message seems to have gone unnoticed when I send it to you 🙂 xx
