Cadavre exquis, anyone? – Take 2

Hello Lovelies!

As you might (or very possibly might not) remember, last October, I played “cadavre exquis” with a couple of fellow bloggers. You can catch up with my first invitation here.

Colin, Suze, The Bag Lady and Urban Liaisons participated and the result was pretty amazing, especially for a first shot!

 

I’d like to try it again… What do you say?

So first, just in case you wouldn’t know what playing cadavre exquis means, here is how it works… I start a story of my choice. I then send my last sentence to the next writer that knows nothing about what I have writen except that one sentence! When I get writer #2’s part, I send his/her last sentence to writer # 3, and so on, until I have all the pieces of the puzzle.

Of course, the more people join in, the more fun it gets, and if you know people who enjoy writing challenges/games… Please share and invite them over!!

So, you want to play? Of course you do!! Just drop me an email here, and I’ll send you the sentence you have to start with! You can use any style, go any way you wish… As long as it is Cove-friendly!

Let the game begin… Again!   🙂

    1. How it works? Well, I’ll write a paragraph, starting a story of my own… I’ll then take the last sentence of what I wrote, and writer #2 will get that sentence by email.

      Writer #2 writes a paragraph starting with that sentence, and sends it to me. I then take last sentence writen by writer #2 and send it to writer #3.

      Writer #3 writes a paragraph using only writer #2’s sentence, and sends it back…

      And so on, until I have all the puzzle pieces.

      I then join all the paragraph into a post, and it gives a story each writer knew only one part before it is released as a whole!

      Clearer?

      1. That’s about it… A couple of sentences would be a nice minimum, in my opinion, and about 100 words a max. I wouldn’t set a maximum, but since we’ll be quite a bunch participating… It would make a very lengthy piece to read, if we all wrote 500 words 😛

  12. I have just read over last year’s cumulative creation and am suddenly feeling guilty about my contribution this year. I should have been a little more lyrical rather than trite (I don’t think that’s a spoiler). I did warn you that I could not be trusted …..
    But ….. next year …. next year …. I will be absolutely Shakespearean with it. Promise. But this year …. feel free to leave me on the cutting room floor.

      2. If you are really disappointed with your first take, you can send me a second one…. It has been a weird weekend, and I have put things on hold… I was about to continue the game tonight, but I can wait for a second try from you, no worries and no rush 🙂

      5. Well …. not entirely. But I am meeting up with my cousin for dinner in San Francisco and she plans to take me to her favourite wine bar where she says, on her last visit, that she had to walk around a cordoned off crime scene at the front door to get in. So that has promise!
