This is a reminder list for me, for new bloggers who are looking for advice, and for established fellow bloggers who need a little pat on the back.
It is fine…
- Not to post anything, if you don’t feel like it. You’ve heard it before, but statistics, (“views”, “likes” and or “comments”) are not important. Well, yes, they have their importance, but unless you live off your blog, they are not vital. It is nice to look at the numbers going up, but this is not work, your blog isn’t a business, and you don’t owe anybody anything… Unless you’ve hurt someone’s feeling, then I think you owe that person an appologie!
- Not to reply immediately to every comment. Of course, the faster the better. But we all have days when “real life” isn’t leaving us time to do everything we wish we could do. And as time goes by, and you get more and more readers, and therefore more comments, it is normal to take a little more time to answer everybody. No stress, better take a little more time, and leave a nice little note, than rush and just spread “likes” around.
- To take a break from reading. Again, the majority of us bloggers have a job to attend, and we all have a life outside the Bloggosphere. Building a network can be fun and exciting, but there is NO WAY you can keep up with everything everybody posts. If you are tired, busy, sick… or just feel like you’d rather focus on your own blog today, sit back and let the posts go by. You might miss some good pieces, of course, but there will be others! And you’ll always get time to scroll back, eventually.
- To try something new. Even if it really isn’t your niche kind of post. I’ve seen a lot of bloggers express their doubts when they consider trying a new genre, or completely different posts. I have too. I think it can be cool to scan your readers’ interest by directly asking for their opinion. But in anycase, ifΒ you like the idea, why not try it?? What’s the worst that can happen? No likes? So what, if you enjoy what you do…
Do your own thing, your own style, and work your own way! Playing copy-cat isn’t a guarantee for success, and remember that success is very subjective.
Have fun!

Thank you, Gorgeous π I don’t think I am wise enough in the ways of blogging to tell others what to do… But I’ve seen enough fellow bloggers stressed out about these things to give this little list of simple tips.
Have a great week, dear friend… I hope you’re doing well π xx

Very good and true advice, Cyranny π
I have followed this for a long time, when I felt no energy or abundance to post, I just read.

Very wise of you, Irene… But it doesn’t surprise me π Sometimes, I take breaks writing, and I just write, and sometimes I focus on writing, and leave reading for a while… I think it is just about keeping the pleasure of spending time here.

Makes sense. I went for about a month without posting. Everyone needs a break every now and then.

Yes, I think so too π There is enough stress in everyday’s life already, blogging should be a way to escape that, not one more reason to worry, I think π
