Yesterday was a very long day…
Having started in Copenhagen and finished in Montréal, it stretched over 30 hours instead of the usual 24.
It started smoothly, with a cup (ok two) of tea on our fifth floor balcony. Closely followed by a last round around the apartment to make sure we weren’t forgetting anything behind.
And it was one of these days, when my backpack weighs less on my shoulders, even if it is fuller than when we arrived in Denmark. Subtely telling me to keep traveling, while ”real life” called me home although I wasn’t homesick yet.
It was a bumpy ride back (thank you very much Boston, I might talk about it later), but we were welcomed by my dear friend G at Montréal’s airport, and we shared dinner together at our favorite Italian restaurant because we hadn’t really talked for a little over three weeks and the fridge was empty.
This morning, we woke up early thanks to jetlag. And since the place lacked a cat almost more than it lacked food, we jumped in the car to ride back to Trois-Rivières to get Freja who was being babysat by my parents.
The reunion didn’t go all that well, just as I had expected. Because let’s face it, cats are grudge-holding animals. There was much hissing and growling at first sight, and the ride home was a little epic.
But now all three of us are back in our natural habitat. Sharing commun space without getting in eachother’s way.
I have much more to share about our trip, and I’ll be working on that the next couple of days. I have so many pictures to show, and stories to tell. I hope you’ll enjoy our whereabouts in the land of Vikings!
Before we get back to our usual schedule…. Mouahahahhahahah
Welcome back Cyranny.

Thank you, Cheryl… Oh, you know me by now. I am always a bit whiny when I come back home, but it still feels good to put on my good ol’ slippers anyway 😛

Thank you, Anne 🙂 I wished we could stay a little longer (there’s always more to do) but I doubt my boss would have agreed. LOL
