I am as good looking as that person who finds me attractive thinks I am. I’m just me, and it doesn’t matter what my hair is doing, if I’m bloated, or anything else. I’m just me. No good, bad, or anything else. Just me.
I would say that I’m incredibly good looking when speaking to anyone who wasn’t able to discover the truth. To other people I just say that I’ve had a terrible accident.
Jack says lovely things…but I don’t trust his viewpoint. I think I am rather plain, but I am told that what makes me attractive is my smile and warmth – which I do understand. I have seen women with perfect hair and make-up, but they look miserable. I do understand so much more that what makes a person attractive tends to be the way they make others feel. The more you get to know someone, the more good you want to find – making them all the more beautiful as you draw closer.
For someone who’s been around for 68 years and who gestated four babies (including a couple of ten-pounders), I probably don’t look too bad. I would never describe myself as good looking — far from it — but I’m not any worse than the average woman my age with my resumé.

My hair needs to be changed but I know I look younger than I am. Beauty is in the eyes of the Beholder.
