I’m not sure that is really even possible unless you are listening “secretly”. If they talk loud enough in public it really can’t be private and if you are standing or sitting in public you aren’t listening secretly.
So I guess the answer is – No I don’t eavesdrop. I just hear people talking in public too loud for it to be a private conversation. I don’t think we should feel bad about that, should we??? LOL
Here is the definition of Eavesdropping.
to listen secretly to a private conversation.

Ha! You are too funny, My Dear! I just went to the dictionary to make sure I knew what I was talking about – I hate to be wrong1! Childhood issues – LOL! It’s “Overhearing/Overheard.

I don’t take any steps to make it a secret, but if they’re talking loud with another person or on a phone , yep I listen

A lot of the time you can’t help overhearing other people’s conversations, even when you’d rather not.
