Darkness. That might sound obvious, but there are a few annoying lights I have to contend with. The smoke alarm units flash every three seconds. Most of the time, I am so tired, the lights don’t bother me, but if I go to bed feeling awake, those lights can drive me crazy! I have put thick tape over the lights which has helped, but some nights I have taken to wearing an eye mask.
At the moment, the landlords have fairy lights on the camellia bushes. From inside, it feels like either police/ambulance blue lights flashing but with a disco cycle. Fortunately, the lights go off at 10pm, so I just have to make sure I don’t go to sleep before then at this time of year.
But other than that…I am a very very good sleeper.

I don’t remember how to het good sleep. But, from what I can remember, all I needed was youth. Age makes sleep so much more elusive…
