Hawkins Cheesies and Nestle Smarties. Breakfast of champions.
Oh we have too many snacks. In India, you’ll find snacks changing from region to region. Tikki, pani puri, Chhole bhature, samosa, jalebi, bhelpuri and dahi papdi are some found in the northern India. And we love snacks with chai!
I think some popular regional snacks might count maybe…but I am sure they have been recreated by cooks/bakers in other lands or they may be similar to other dishes:
– Manchester Tart
– Kendal Mint Cake
– Eccles Cakes
– Chorley Cakes
– Scouse (a Liverpool dish to use up your leftovers)
– Lancashire Hot Pot
– Lancashire Butter Pie
– Yorkshire Puddings
– Staffordshire Oat Cakes
– Yorkshire Parkin
– Scottish Haggis
– Scottish Cranachan
– Welsh Bara Brith
– Cornish Clotted Cream with Scones And Jam
– Cockney Eel Pie
I am sure there are more.
