Lots of movies make me cry. Forrest Gump, when Jenny dies… Apollo 13, when the astronauts get safely back to earth… Tea With Mussolini, when the allies liberate Italy… Amazing Grace, when Parliament finally outlaws the slave trade… Miss Potter, when Norman dies….
It is just so personal! It touched a raw nerve. Everything I felt about being estranged from Jack from years…when I saw Kelly run after Chuck and say those words my heart gave way and oh the tears, the uncontrollable tears.
And there is a film that fills me with emotion and one particular scene, which I cannot find – when he plays La Nuit D’Amour on the speaker. But this is a similar scene and shows how much this incredible man is trying to keep his son and his wife protected from the horrors that surround them:
