Somewhat. I believe more in the return to the mean— think about life on a scale, 1 being horrible, 10 being fantastic, and 5 is just right. No matter which direction your life goes, it’s always working to settle back into the mean (middle). I’d like to think that’s possible. And as far as karma is concerned, I’d hope that’d tip the scales just a bit faster.
