I must say that I never experienced insomnia (knocking on wood), but I can see how that is a very annoying adult problem. Sorry you have to deal with it!
Mouahahahahaha You are really making up for their failure…. Hey, you’re making up for my parents’ failure to teach me about zombies too. And I shall be grateful for that for the rest of my life 😉
Having children grow up and become teeagers who think their parents know nothing. I know this phase does not last long and then then find out we do know stuff. But none of the books about What to expect when you are pregant or have toddlers prepares you for teenagers!
OMG, I don’t have children of my own, but this is sooooo true Anne! Nothing prepares parents for that stage of their offsprings’ lives. Maybe not to discourage them from having children?? 😛 Thank you for sharing, this really made me smile, although it did make me feel a little guilty for making my parents deal with that stage of my life (although, I must say, I wasn’t the worst teenager in town LOL)
That you won’t be controlling as many things as you think you will and that if you want to be successful and happy you need to examine all the consequences of your choices to the nth degree because they matter and have long term effects.

I’m not really an adult yet. I’ll be sure to look out for problems should they arise if that transition were ever to occur.

Keep me posted if that happens. I am very open to friends’ advices… I might not follow them, but I’ll welcome them gratefully 😉
