I may or may not answer. I have family that does that all the time and thinks nothing of it. I’m not a huge fan obviously. One should have a little notice to at least straighten up the house a bit. Being a bit of a slob, I know of two instances where the drop in guest found something they did not want to see in the bathroom (I flush obsessively so nothing like that), but clothing and underclothing is often left lying around on the floor. I’m working on picking it up too because the second i don’t? Some twit drops in and has to pee or something.
The last time people turned up at my door uninvited was in 1997. We were polite and offered them a cup of tea, but it took weeks to get rid of the stench of their cigarettes even though they didn’t smoke in our house, it just came in on their clothes.
Now it is unusual for anyone to ‘pop in’, though our house is always open to our friends.

It seldom happens nowadays, thank goodness. I don’t like surprises.
