I was invited (well, not personally, but still…) to join the Fandango’s Friday Flashback!
Fandango scrolls back, every Friday, and gives a second chance to a post he had published on the same date, years before. I thought it was a great way to remember some of the stuff I did a while back, and I decided to participate…
So here it is!
Written on February 18th of 2016, here is cute story dating back to my early days as a blogger. I hope you’ll enjoy it (again), and I wish you’re safe and well, wherever you are…
When I woke up this morning, I had the sweet aftertaste of a dream, still lingering in the back of my mind. It doesn’t happen often these days, because of the fatigue and the stress, and it was very welcome…
I closed my eyes back, and tried to collect the bits and pieces left of my dream, rebuilding it little by little, like a puzzle. The clearer the view was, the better I felt, although it was a very short and simple dream, opposed to what I am used to from my crazy-nut brain.
I dreamed I was on a lakeshore… There was no beach, the ground was made of slabs of hard steady rock, and there was a narrow stream on my side , flowing into the lake. It seemed like the early summer, the temperature was warm, but not sweaty, and the breeze had a nice earthy moss scent.
When I turned my head, I noticed someone was sitting on the rocks, on the other side of the stream. You were there, silent and motionless.
At the moment I recognised your silhouette, the clouds parted, and the sun hit my eyes. I could no longer see you clearly, but I tried to, using my hands to block the sunrays. You weren’t looking my way, but you were obviously aware of my presence.
You weren’t smiling, nor did you look angry… I couldn’t quite read the expression on your face because of the light. I even wondered if it was really you, but the lightness of your hair convinced me…
We didn’t speak. We just sat there, on each sides of the stream, and spent time together.
In any other situation, this would have felt incredibly annoying, but it didn’t. It just felt soothing, sitting there, in silence… And I woke up.
It was good to see you my friend. Next time, just wave to show me you’re happy to see me too, ok?
