  1. I am sure they did not originate with my family, but I have heard a few expressions since I was little within my family, and not often elsewhere:
    – take it on the chin with a grin
    – nobody really cares how much you know, they want to know how much you care
    – we will look back at this in a trillion times and wonder what all the fuss was about

  2. My Mother used to call silly people foozenless. If they made poor choices but not something seriously bad she would say they were foozenless. It may be an Irish expression and my spelling is just my best guess.

  3. My maternal grandmother had a cleaning lady who wasn’t very punctual, and one day when the cleaning lady was late, my grandmother commented on it, and the housekeeper shot back with “Everybody bees late sometimes.” It quickly became part of the tribal vernacular.
