I wouldn’t have thought about it, but I find that very clever… After all, we’re all going to die (it’s the only sure thing about Life), and it is not as if we could prevent it from happening. Clever, very clever! Thank you 🙂
Oh, I couldn’t agree more, Paula. I must say I was convinced that we didn’t pay for it, here in Québec, and after reading your comment, I did some research and found out that there is a tax that our landlords obviously added to our rent. Thank you for the eye opening comment!
I totally agree, Amanda. Free counselling is offered here for people in need for it. At least it is, on paper. In reality, people have to wait months if not years to get appointments, which means that a lot of people are left to themselves, and the rare that can turn to private clinics that are very expensive. It really is a shame.
I think it is similar here. There are 25 hour telephone help lines but it isn’t the same as an person appointment, as the counsellor may miss subtle non-verbal cues that tell more about the person and their relationships. (Which incidentally, I was just been writing about). How are things over your way these days?

That should be a given… Basic health should never be a matter of how wealthy you are. You are absolutely right, Fandango!
