I loudly long for
Winter’s grey…
I cling to its fingers
In total dismay
This too will pass,
Easier said than done!
What you love today
Tomorrow is gone…
Don’t let yourself get wrapped
Around anyone’s finger
They’ll end up crushing your heart,
Even if you dare call them Lover.
This too will pass,
Easier said than done!
What you love today
Tomorrow is gone…
Not even friends
Seem to be meant to stay,
Just a silly misstep, and
They’re scarecrowed away…
This too will pass,
Easier said than done!
What you love today
Tomorrow is gone…
Enjoy Life’s little moments,
Knowing they’ll slip away.
Forget yesterday and tomorrow,
And just live for today…
Well said!

😉 Thank you, Amanda! See, you’re teaching me something again. I didn’t know the saying was Viking-related. I hope things are not too bad in Brisbane….

The saying is a little varied – sometimes it is said thus: Like bad weather, this too shall pass. But the gist is the same! I think we all can learn so much from blogging and reading other blogs. Especially tapping into different belief systems, traditions, values etc. It brings us closer – but in a safe way (social distancing achieved!) Brisbane is shutting down slowly – again and again I am reminded of your excellent timing, just before all this hit. The world may never be the same, or at least not for a long time, so I am glad you saw a little of our world here. Are you in self isolation in Canada?
