Dear Lovelies,
We’re already almost two weeks into 2020 now. Gee, time goes fast.
I thought I should keep you up to date with this ”Tinking positive” kinda resolution I took for the new year (decade?). I must say, I was the first to doubt that it would make a noticeable difference. I did believe that a positive attitude couldn’t hurt, but I didn’t think it would actually affect my ”luck”.
If you read my previous Just thinking post, it was inspired by a post from Amanda of Something to Ponder About. Her Happy Lucky New Year article.
So… What’s the outcome of making an effort to simply be optimistic (sometimes forcing myself to be, even if I didn’t really think it would make a difference)?
For one thing, I was supposed to be forced to give training to a new employee at my job, which I really didn’t want to do. I had decided to just let go and hope for the best, and a couple of days back, I learnt that I was off the hook. Yay!!
In a couple of weeks, Chéri and I will be flying to Australia. One of our struggles was that we had to find a babysitter for Freja, who isn’t too keen on traveling long distance (we were thinking about leaving her to the care of Chéri’s parents, who live one and a half hours away from Montréal). But, tadaaaah! Not asking for anything, my friend and neighbour postponed adopting a new cat and will take of our little furball during our vacation! Double Yay!!
Last but not least, I recently contacted a friend-blogger living in Australia, to ask for a little help in our trip planning. I was thrilled to read that they were also interested in spending a couple of days together, exploring their area of Aussiland! This should be an amazing experience, and I bet you’ll have the chance to see and read more about that unlikely across the planet encounter, both here in The Cove, and in that very special person’s blog. (OMG I am so excited!!)
So… I must say that I was a bit skeptical at first, but let alone a couple of minor bad news, 2020 has been kind so far. Way more than I would have expected.
Mere luck? Maybe… But then again, maybe not!
Sounds awesome! Hope great things keep happening and have an amazing time in Australia!! Look forward to seeing pictures and reading about ti!

Thank you Joy 🙂 I know that no matter what happens (or doesn’t happen) it will be a dream trip. The simple thought of spending some time at the other end of the world is priceless. I’ll take TONS of picture, and I can’t wait to share the experience with you all!

Hey Cyranny!!
So happy to hear the luck is coming your way. Also, I feel so honoured that my post inspired you, as I was inspired by Marlene from Insearchofitall. We are spreading positivity and getting lucky too!! The pingback on the first post must not have worked, so I’ll check out that manually, asap.
Then I read
You are coming to my hood? Yay! Are you visiting Brisbane or surrounds by any chance? Where are you headed? I imagine you have a busy schedule but it would be fun to meet another danophile in real life if you are in my locality. Best wishes and safe travels, Godtur!

Thank you, Amanda 🙂 It is funny, because when I decided to try the ”Positive 2020 experiment”, my boyfriend was (more than) skeptical. But after just two weeks, he now points out little positive things happening, telling me it’s my ”lucky year”. Positivity can be contagious, and I think it will be one of my goals this year, to spread it as much as I can. It’s always better than flu LOL
Our itinary has changed a couple of times, lately, because of the bushfires. But I think we have settled for good now. So (unless anything big comes up) we’ll land in Sydney, move to Melbourne, then Cairns, Brisbane and back to Sydney. It’s funny, because we added Brisbane last, actually the day before you wrote this comment! I would definately love to meet you, if the schedule allows it for both of us… Just send me a little email (through my ”get in touch with” page) and I’ll let you know when we should pass by Brisbane 🙂
*So excited*

I know… I know… I’m sulking a bit, since it doesn’t want to visit me. Maybe I am trying to make Greenland jealous by visiting Australia… I hope it works, but either ways, I’ll send you an invite when I get back to Montréal 🙂 I do need to see you in that tux, and I want that Greenland date 😉

Australia is an amazing country. I think you will enjoy it. I hope you will not be affected by the terrible bush fires there.

It is funny, because I wasn’t that intrigued with Australia before I started blogging. And in all honesty, the Australian bloggers I met online are the first reason I changed my mind 🙂 Now I realize how awesome a country we are heading for, and I am super excited about the trip!
We’ve been worried about the bushfires, but with a little plan changing, and keeping in mind that we might have to improvise a bit, I know we’ll have a wonderful time!
Keeping positive 🙂
