      1. It was when I was 19 and beyond stupid. I was scared half out of my skin, screamed my bloody brains out, with my eyes closed 75% of the way down.
The second try was better, my eyes were only closed 60% because of seeing electrical lines off in the distance… But no screaming that time around. LOL! 😜 😝

    1. That’s amazing, Cheryl… I am thinking about starting to volunteer, now that my schedule will be more a little looser. It must be an incredible feeling to help people so vulnerable and in need 🙂

  1. Mine is also volunteering in a hospital. I spend time in hospital as a little child and it was not a good experience. So as an adult I went to volunteer at a hospital near me to put those demons to sleep. It worked and I actually enjoyed it which was a huge surprise.

    1. Thank you for sharing this, Anne 🙂 What’s beautiful in your story, is that it helped you, but it probably (I am sure about it) made these people you helped free of cost, live a better experience than the one you had yourself! Win-win!!

  2. For me it was flying in an airplane. I am scared of heights and a bit of a control freak so not having any control of any problem thousands of feet in the air seemed quite daunting. However, I had to once for work. Found out I actually love the flying part. It’s a whole different world up there with/above the clouds. Fortunately no plane issues on the flights I have been on but it opened a world of opportunity for me. I’ve now flown many times. A few times to Europe from the US. I do not, however, enjoy all the stress that comes with air travel these days.

    1. I am glad you faced your fear… We’re often scared of what we don’t know, and I think this is a good example 🙂 Many people don’t face what makes them nervous, and they miss incredible opportunities because of that. Good for you, that you didn’t let your doubts dictate what you should or shouldn’t do, James 🙂 Oh, and btw, I agree, it is such a special experience when you are up there in the sky… I love flying 😉
