12 things…

Judy, from Lifelessons has asked her readers to play with her and answer Twelve Questions. Judy will draw a name from the people who’ll have participated, and make a donation to the winner’s favorite charity (if I understood well, Judy?) It is for a good cause, so I thought I’d give it a try!

You like Judy’s idea? Just click on the link above, and join in too!!

Who in your opinion is the sexiest man (if you are a woman) or woman (if you are a man) who ever lived?

Easy… I heard some people in the back of the room saying his name… Hmmmm *Big sigh* Yeah. It is Mads Mikkelsen, of course! That man is just getting more and more handsome and charming as the years go by. He ages better than fine wines!

What favorite food do you rarely eat and why?

Tartiflette. It is a French dish that really isn’t that hard to make, but the best cheese to make it (Roblochon) is way too expensive here in Québec. If that cheese was cheaper, I’d probably cook tartiflette every week!

What would your closest friends be most surprised to find out about you?

Hmmm… That’s a hard one. She knows a lot more about me than anyone else. I guess if there was something that could surprise her, it would be something I wouldn’t share on my blog. LOL

Who is the most famous person you ever met and what were the circumstances?

I get that ”meeting” means actually talking to, not just being in the same room? Then I hesitate between Jonas Bjerre, Mew’s singer and Nic Balthazar a film writer and director. I met Jonas in Toronto before and after their show. I was just hanging around the bar where the show was presented, and ran into him. Both were brief chats, but I really enjoyed talking with him. I met Mr Balthazar after the screening of his movie ”Everybody happy” at Montreal World Film Festival. We discussed the film, that really moved me… Both are very down to earth, simple and kind gentlemen!

What famous person would you most like to have as a close friend and why?

Mads!! I promise to keep my hands off him, if that’s what he wants… But I’d like to at least be friends… Ok, that was too easy, I’ll say Amélie Nothomb, a brilliant, famous Belgian writer I met at a signing event. I feel we would have a lot that would make us connect, and our imaginary universes are very alike…

What is your biggest regret in life?

Probably not having tamed my wild heart yet, even after 40-some years. It is too intense, too giving, and it puts me in uncomfortable situations all the time.

What is the strangest pet you ever had?

A monarch butterfly. I kept it for several weeks in my room…

What is the item of clothing you have owned for the longest period of time?

Probably the dress I had done when I was a good friend’s bride’s maid. That was about 20 years ago.

What object in your house holds the most nostalgic value for you?

That’s hard. I would say a hand written letter from a dear friend. Hand written letters mean a lot to me…

What question do you wish you had asked a deceased relative but didn’t?

Not a question, but I wish I had had the chance to wish Merry Christmas to my grand father who died just after the family party, 15 years ago. I was working the night shift, and I was the only one who couldn’t attend the family gathering.

Who in the world (relative or not) do you most resemble?

I would say Dad. Not physically, but we think and act alike all the time. I hope I can become as good a person as he is now… I still have work to do, but I’ll try to make him proud!

What is your favorite footwear and why?

Good, comfortable running shoes. Comfort is everything, especially when you walk a lot. I enjoy fancy footwear, it makes the Footsies look sexy, but they scream for their running shoes after a couple of hours, hehehehehe.

    1. No need to be embarrassed, Judy 🙂 The only one that is really really well known is Mads Mikkelsen… The others are famous, but not ”that” well known in North America 😉

It was fun to go through these 12 questions… I hope many people will play along!

      1. I hope so, too. Embarrassed to say I didn’t even know Mads. I don’t watch action/adventure or read much entertainment news. When I do I don’t know any of the actors newer that Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt..I’m outta it. This blog is my education. Thanks, teacher.
