Looking back… Day 13.

Already December 13th.

Time flies so fast. I am already halfway through my lovely kalendarlys. Warming my fingers to the dancing flame, I realize what a great idea it was, to spend a little time each night, and do nothing else but watch the wax burn slowly….

It brings up all kinds of thoughts, as you might have noticed so far. Not all Christmas-related, but that’s fine by me, because this is not a true “advent” series. More like an excuse I give myself to sit for a while, daily, and enjoy the warmth of my candle light.

2018 is coming to its end, and though I had some pretty awesome experiences, it was overall a hard year to get through. I am hopeful 2019 will a lot lighter.

How was 2018 for you? A year to forget, or one to remember?

  1. I’ve had much worse years than 2018. Earlier this year I met my half-sister that I never knew existed, as we were both adopted. I got to visit Montreal. I was able to see my son and grandchildren more than in previous years. My estranged older daughter began talking to me again, and our younger daughter has only one more year of university to get her teaching degree. All in all, it’s been a much better year than usual! I wish you a wonderful 2019 that will be full of good experiences and memories.

  2. It’s been a bad year for sure. Lots of things to deal with, a friends untimely death, a friend diagnosed with dimentia and another out of work too long. Hardships all around. I’ll be hoping for a better 19.

  3. I was going to say that it was a pretty dang good year for mydangblog but it’s not over yet and I don’t want to jinx things! 🙂 Here’s hoping that 2019 is just as good, if not better!
