She then walked towards the fire, and danced with the flames. Twirling close enough to feel the heat, but her words burned in the night…
When she turned to the sea and spoke again, she thought the ocean finally understood her, but the waves just licked her toes, and left her still hoping…
And finally came the wind, as she was looking up to the stars. Blowing around her, as she whispered a fourth time, she thought she heard the draft muttering back

That’s mesmerising.

I was just about to say the exact same thing! This truly invokes the elements and all the senses too. I felt like I was brought into her experience. Truly captivating and beautifully written

Thank you Mack! I didn’t really know where it would go when I started writing… I just had the four elements in mind, and let my thoughts wander…
Happy you enjoyed it! 🙂
