It’s been a while since I last thought about International Days of the Day. I neglected the subject a bit, hiding behind the shallow excuse of being in Denmark, having a blast! Shame on me, I know!
Today, having 2 hours to spend home alone before work, I checked out to get my update on what was being celebrated around the globe (or not, because of my failure to advertise it properly).
I found out I was already in party mode, since today’s International “Walk Bare Foot” Day!

I appologize to those of you sensitive to skin display… But I couldn’t hide my feet with socks this time. Note the perfectly clear tanning line showing that my ankles enjoyed the nice weather during my trip. My feet, on the other hand, were denied the warmth of the Danish sun… Keeping them perfectly white! You can also note the bump on lefty-footsy, near my big toe, slowly healing, but still hurting a little bit with every step I take, reminding me it has been walking a whole lot in Vikingland not long ago!
So there it is, I did my part for that very special International Day of the Day!
Since I am a little bit behind in keeping you informed of what the world likes to celebrate, I thought I’d go for a second one… And today’s also the International Day of “Saying something nice”. That should be an easy one!
I thought about giving nice, personalised comments to specific people, but that would be unfair to eventual new readers, or friends that would be left out of my list, since writing compliments to all the people I appreciate could take a while… So I made a generic list of which you can choose one, or many compliments, and take them personal!
So here we go!
- I really enjoyed your last post, keep up the good work, pal! (Very WP community oriented… I could say it to several bloggers around)
- Didn’t you lose some weight lately? No? Well that outfit really flatters you! (To most ladies… Don’t we love that kind of free comments?)
- Thanks for being such a kind and caring friend, life wouldn’t be the same without you in my life! (For real-life friends, obviously… )
- Thanks for making your country flag show in my stats, it is always a pleasure to see them flags popping every once in a while! Come again 🙂 (For all of you regular guests or passers by.)
Hope that put a little sunshine in your day… Feel free to leave something nice in the “Comments” section, What goes around comes around they say… 🙂
I really feel cheated! Here you were in Denmark with your feet and all, but denied me the chance of seeing them naked, live! I had to wait until they were back (safe) in Montréal, where all good feet are protected by their owner’s mothers. “Didn’t I warn you about him? Don’t go showing him your feet! That’s a good girl. I raised you right! Keep your feet pure for those who speak Canadian French. I feel so used….

I know… I am such a sneaky fox! Going into dark holes with two not-quite-Danes was probably the farthest I was ready to go to, risk-wise, during a first trip to good old Denmark!! We’ll see how daredevilish I can be next time! 😉
