It is… So far so good!

I wouldn’t want to jinx myself, but 2016 has been pretty amazing so far.  And today was particularly nice to go through.

I am not a yay-let’s-go-shopping girl, but sometimes, I just need to. So I put my walking shoes on, filled my bottle of water, and I headed to the mall. I had a few things to buy for my trip, and Wall Mart seemed like the perfect place for everything I needed;

• One or two pairs of capri pants, mine being way too large now. (I wouldn’t want my pants to inadvertently drop to my ankles, thus giving the person standing in front of me a wrong impression about my intentions)
• Lycra short shorts.
• One or two T-shirts, preferably funny ones.
• Spray to make my walking shoes waterproof, following my little brother’s advice.
• New headphones, since my super cool Sennheiser ones decided to die a few days ago.

So, with my list in hand, I started my shopping. The headphones were pretty easy to find, no problem there, then I picked up the waterproof spray. It was time to move to the clothing department…

I always hated shopping for clothes… I am not stylish or coquette. Some girls have a talent for dressing, and they manage to look great no matter what they put on. I’m more on the other side. Regardless the efforts I put in dressing up, it always looks weird. So I stick to comfortable unless there is a special occasion.

When it comes to shopping, I have the impression that I am just expecting clothes to fit. I don’t hope for a “wow” in the dressing room. But that was until today!

Yeah, I had a surprise today. A great surprise… I knew I had lost weight in the past year, but when I realized I had gone down two sizes, I high fived myself in the cabin’s mirror! You go girl!!

It didn’t go to my head, though. I know I’m still obese compared to all the zero size nymphets running around town, but I couldn’t care less… So, I grabbed all my stuff, got out of the cabin with my boosted ego, and came strolling back home.

That’s when I came across the Jeep at the top of my post.

Life is good!

I’m about to go to Denmark and I am at the thinnest I ever dreamed to be, realizing two dreams in the same year. That’s just crazy… in a good way!

Thank you life! Just don’t let me down tomorrow morning please… I like the feeling 🙂
